WELCOME TO GRAPHIC DESIGN

Why Should You Choose to Study Graphic Design at SRJC?

Our graphic design courses help students develop strong design and software skills, from basic layout techniques for print and web to software skills in industry-standard programs, such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. With this foundation, students can consider creative career options including: corporate in-house design, digital illustration, advertising, logo design, print production, web design and freelance design. Taught by dedicated, caring instructors with real-world experience, our courses are offered during the day and in the evening. For additional scheduling flexibility, some courses are available online.

We offer several programs of study to suit a variety of educational goals. These include:

  • A challenging 2-year Graphic Design Certificate of Achievement program that prepares students for entry-level positions in business and industry.
  • An intensive 1-year Production Fundamentals Certificate that offers the very basics: graphic design principles, typography, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • A Graphic Design Major (AA) that teaches entry-level graphic design skills and allows students to earn credits for transfer to CSU and other 4-year universities.
